Starting Chips & Add-On info

$100 = $1,500 in starting chips

$50 add on=$1,500 in chips

When players sign in on the day of the game they will receive a token that can be used
for an add-on. An add-on allows you to purchase more chips from the moment you sit
down at the table up through the 3rd level of the tournament at the first break.

Players that purchase the add-on in advance will receive $2,000 in chips for their
add-on instead of the $1,500 that the players who wait until game day will get. If you
purchase your add-on in advance you will get a special token at sign-in that lets the
tournament director know that you will be getting the extra $500 in chips with your
add-on.

Some people like to see how they're doing at the 3rd level of play before they decide
whether or not they want to invest more money into the game because they may have
built their stack up and don't feel that extra chips are necessary. Other players like to get
their add-on right away so that they have a bigger stack against the players who haven't
purchased an add-on.

We are offering an extra $500 in chips as an incentive for players to increase their chip
stack and because it will bring more money in for the charity. Also, with more chips in
the game, it will increase the action and excitement. At the early levels of the
tournament, having an extra $500 in chips above your opponents can be very powerful.

Prize Distribution

I am truly overwhelmed by the generosity of the great companies that have contributed
to this amazing prize pool. I wanted to come up with a way to give out prizes in the
fairest way possible without favoring any one product over another that has similar
value, so I devised the following way to distribute the prizes:

Only the top 40 (or possibly a few more) players will make it into the prize pool.

There will be four groups of prizes:

Group 4 will have similar value prizes for the 31st through 40th place winners. As
players are eliminated from the tournament they will pick from a hat that contains prizes
for Group 4.

Group 3 will have higher value prizes than Group 4 for the 21st through 30th place
winners. As these players are eliminated, they will pick from a hat that contains prizes
for Group 3.

Group 2 will have higher value prizes than Group 3 for the 11th through 20th place
winners. As players are eliminated, they will pick from a hat that contains prizes for
Group 2.

Group 1 will have the Grand Prizes for the final table winners.

When we get down to the final table, as players are eliminated, they will be assigned the
number of their finish. At the conclusion of the game there will be a prize ceremony.

The final table does not have to choose from a hat. The winner of the tournament will
have first selection from the Grand Prize table. The second place finisher will then
choose, followed by 3rd place, and so on until the 10th place finisher receives the last
prize.

The prizes continue to come in almost every day so we will also be putting aside some
prizes for the Sit & Go games. We are also in the process of assembling goody bags
and planning a raffle. So don't worry, even if you don't make it into the top 40, you will still
be a winner just for being a part of this great event!
